This is an operational draft describing how the platform currently works. The binding version is pending review and is not a legal undertaking.
A marketplace, not a shop
Dar Al Ghazal lists work by independent makers. The studio you buy from is the one making your piece, and the platform takes a commission on the sale.
Custom work
A design you send to a studio is a request. The studio may accept it, ask for changes, or decline. The price is the quotation they send you, and accepting a quotation books the order at that price.
A quotation that has been sent is never edited. If a studio needs to change a price they send a new version, and the one you were originally shown is kept exactly as it was.
Payment
Online payment is not activated on this site. Accepting a quotation books an order that is recorded as awaiting payment, and our team arranges payment with you separately. Nothing is charged through this website.
Reviews
A review can only be written by somebody whose order was delivered, and only once per piece. Reviews are read by our team before they appear.
